Flash floods kill at least 21 people in southern Iran

 At least 21 people have died and three others are missing after heavy rains caused flooding in the southern Iranian province of Fars, officials say. Officials of the local Red Crescent Society aid group on Saturday confirmed the deaths, adding that 150 emergency responders and an aerial unit are working at the scene at the town of Estahban, 174km (108 miles) east of the provincial capital, Shiraz. The governor of Estahban, Yousef Kargar, said heavy rains on Friday in the central parts of Estahban county led to the flooding, according to state news agency IRNA. Videos posted on local and social media showed cars caught in the rising waters and carried away while parents tried to rescue their children from the vehicles. Khalil Abdollahi, head of the province’s crisis management department, told Reuters news agency at least 55 people were rescued in the flood, which submerged 15 cars. Russia, Ukraine sign UN-backed grain export deal

 Russian and Ukrainian officials have signed a deal to allow grain exports from Ukrainian Black Sea ports, as UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said the agreement would help ease a global food crisis. The neighbouring, warring countries are among the world’s biggest exporters of food, but Russia’s invasion led to a de-facto blockade of the Black Sea, resulting in Ukraine’s exports dropping to a sixth of their pre-war level. Russian defence minister Sergei Shoigu and Ukraine’s infrastructure minister, Oleksandr Kubrakov, signed the deal separately on Friday, carefully avoiding sitting at the same table and avoiding shaking hands. 8 Detained After Kissing Video Goes Viral In Karnataka

  Bengaluru:  A video of two college students kissing, which has gone viral, has landed eight students in huge trouble in Karnataka's Mangaluru. The eight teens from St Aloysius college have been taken into custody and have been produced before a juvenile justice court. The video was filmed six months ago, but was uploaded recently, the police said. The girl seen in the kissing video has alleged sexual assault in a complaint with the police, after which the boys were charged. She was one of the two girls seen in the video, which was reportedly filmed in an apartment near Light House Hill Road in Mangaluru. The girl told the police that she knew the boys in that apartment and that she had a physical relationship with one of them, which was filmed. The other boys blackmailed her using the video, the girl said. Among the accused teens is the 17-year-old boy who uploaded the video on social media. Girl Viciously Attacked By Monkey From Millionaire's Private Zoo

  A horrifying video has surfaced on social media, which shows a monkey brutally attacking a toddler. The little girl was playing with other children outside the home where she lives when the primate attacked her. In a report, UK-based news outlet Metro identified the girl as two-year-old Paulina, a refugee from Ukraine. The outlet further said that the attack took place in the Russian village of Terpigorievo where she has been living with her parents after being give refuge by neighbour and family friend. The video, caught on the CCTV installed in the area, is circulating on various social media platforms, including Reddit. It shows Paulina climbing a ladder when the animal suddenly appears. Pak, China welcome ‘interested’ third countries joining CPEC

 All-weather allies Pakistan and China have decided to welcome “interested” third countries joining the multi-billion dollar China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), saying it was “an open and inclusive platform” for mutually beneficial cooperation. Launched in 2013, the CPEC is a corridor linking Pakistan’s Gwadar port on the Arabian Sea with Kashgar in northwest China’s Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, which highlights energy, transport and industrial cooperation. Woman Gangraped At New Delhi Station, 4 Railway Staff Arrested

  New Delhi:  Four railway employees have been arrested in connection with the gangrape of a 30-year-old woman on a platform at New Delhi railway station, police said. Police said all the four accused are employees of the Railways' Electrical Department. The gangrape, police said, took place inside a train lighting hut on the platform late on Thursday night. While two of the accused allegedly raped the woman, the others stood guard outside. The accused are 35-year-old Satish Kumar, 38-year-old Vinod Kumar, 33-year-old Mangal Chand and 37-year-old Jagdish Chand.
