  New Delhi:  Four railway employees have been arrested in connection with the gangrape of a 30-year-old woman on a platform at New Delhi railway station, police said. Police said all the four accused are employees of the Railways' Electrical Department. The gangrape, police said, took place inside a train lighting hut on the platform late on Thursday night. While two of the accused allegedly raped the woman, the others stood guard outside. The accused are 35-year-old Satish Kumar, 38-year-old Vinod Kumar, 33-year-old Mangal Chand and 37-year-old Jagdish Chand.  The accused in the Hyderabad gang-rape case allegedly tried to destroy evidence of the crime by wiping off the car where five youths, including three minors, allegedly raped a 17-year-old girl on May 28. Despite the attempts to destroy evidence, investigators managed to recover some crucial evidence — such as biological fluid, earrings, footwear, and hair — and send them for forensic examination. The police have now invoked Section 201 of the Indian Penal Code (causing the disappearance of evidence of the offence or giving false information to screen the offender) against the accused. On May 28, the 17-year-old girl had gone to a pub in Hyderabad. She reportedly met a boy there and left the club with him and his friends in a luxury sedan after they promised to drop her home. A minor girl was allegedly molested and gang-raped in a Mercedes car by juveniles in Hyderabad . An MLA's son was allegedly involved in the incident, said police sources, adding that all the five accused involved in the crime are minors. Police launched an investigation to verify the facts of the case, which was registered at Jubilee Hills police station on Wednesday, June 1. The incident took place on Saturday. Initially, a case was booked under Section 354 of the IPC and the POCSO Act against the three accused involved in the incident. The 17-year-old girl was sent for medical examination and police have now altered the case and added section 376 (gang rape) of the IPC to it.  A 15-year-old migrant girl was allegedly gang-raped in Pooppara near Santanpara in Kerala's Idukki district on Sunday, May 29. Santhanpara police have arrested six persons, including two minors, in connection with the incident. According to Santhanpara police, the incident occurred on Sunday evening. The girl is the daughter of a migrant couple working at a private cardamom plantation in Santhanpara. The family is from West Bengal. The arrested are Poopara residents Syaman [alias Samuel] (19), Aravind (22) and two minors. A case was filed under POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) Act against the accused,” said Munnar Deputy SP KR Manoj. Police added that two more persons from West Bengal were brought in for questioning in the case.
